The "SAAB A36" has been knocking around for years and has led to heated arguments on Facebook when it's pointed out that it's a fantasy and not related to the real world project. People will dig in their heels and insist it's real because some self-declared "aviation journalist" said so on his site, blog whatever.

At the risk of introducing excess erudition to this debate, may I refer people to the motto of no less a body than the Royal Society   "Nullius in verba".............and for those who have forgotten the  Latin they were subjected to at school many years ago, the best translation is "Take nobody's word for it".  Or if you prefer  "The interweb is insufficiently rigorous"
