Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

yes, great colors, and yes Kit the burner can looks great- perhaps why I have never take a stab at a F-100!  Gotta have the scorched look!

I consider that an "If Only ...", rather than a "What If ..."

I think the czech would be of the same opinion...
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I third that. Impressive!

At the time (in the early 60's), there was some talk about reengining the Super Sabre with the RR Spey. Apparently, the physical changes could be kept to a minimum as the Spey easily would fit in the existing space, and generally, the performance and fuel consumption would have improved. Being significantly less talented with the brush than that displayed above, I wonder whether the rear fuselage scorching would have been sorted too..

Baugher wrote very shortly about a Spey powered Hun here: >LINK<
and 15(!) years ago, it was apparently discussed at this very forum, namely >HERE<. A few of the current delinquents were present then as well..  ;)
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

It may have been, as the Spey was a turbofan engine the mil power exhaust should have been cooler than a straight turbo-jet, but hwo knows what the re-heat would do?

Re-heated Spey engined Phantoms didn't have cooked rear fuselages though, so maybe the colours would have stayed pristine?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

This is increasingly starting to sound like another repaint with a good backstory to follow suit..
