I like Tamiya kits! Maybe not the greatest detail, but certainly very good for their price & often better than more expensive kits.

Lovely build ..simple and clean..very nice for ya first return build 
I had this kit and your not wrong about the age..i was a kid when it got released ..i was 3 yrs old in 71 but still its nice to build a model which dont take a soild week to build and thats even before painting 
Even tho my stash is small i still have a couple of Tamiya kits in it
