Dear builders and voters,

Some of you have probably already noticed but you managed to leave us, the moderators, in a right mess.
A three way tie for winner! I think we have never had that before in a group build.

After feverish deliberations all day between the moderators and our grand master Chris, we have decided that we will organize a run-off vote between the three winners.
We will put up this second poll shortly and it will be just between the three number ones from the first poll.
Everyone will get one vote each and the poll will run for just five days.

Now don't you lot dare make this second vote end in a tie as well!

We want to stress that this is a one-time solution for this GB only.
Chris will start up a discussion after all the dust has settled to see if we can come up with a standard and perhaps better way of handling this in future group builds.

Can the forum's polling code handle Instant Runoff/Ranked Choice Voting?

I don't think it can. Polls are quite restricted in functionality.

Well if the number of voters is the same 35 people a three way tie is out of the question but a tie for first place with shared winners.

IIRC we did have a dead heat once some years ago, damned if I can remember which GB it was, but Chris may...........

We're mindful of the very occasional two-way tie (can't recall which) but us mods plus Global Mod don't recall a three-way tie.
