My mind STILL boggles at the thought of the Brabazon, the largest airliner ever built in the UK, only carrying SEVENTY TWO passengers!

Ryanair would NEVER have flown one!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

They probably would have done away with the luxurious amenities, and turned it into all cattle class.

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

The French Air Force picture reminds me of a 1939-40 publication entitled "Britain's Wonderful Fighting Forces"  where several of the items pictured looked as though they had been badly described over a poor phone line to a novice artist.

I had that book too, I may even still have it! Jingo-ism to the max doesn't even START to describe it!  ;D

But the Amiot 142 really did look like that, and Heller made a model of it to prove it. If ever there was a bomber large enough to hold a good party in, the 142 was it!  I love the way the co-pilot's position is underneath the pilot's, there's almost no way he could see well enough to make even a bad landing.

Most of the artwork on that French AF poster is pretty accurate although I've not heard of the Dweotine D-513 before and had to look it up ; interesting Dweotine D 513

That style of illustration takes me right back to my childhood and still fascinates me  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
