Well, well, well.  After an unprecedented three-way tie, a run-off poll and the threat of another three-way tie after that, it's both a relief and a pleasure to announce that we finally have a winner.

So congratulations to Dizzyfugu and his Kaman K-1300 'K-Cobra', a fine build

Commiserations to 63cpe and PR19_Kit respectively for their Budd Conestoga II and BAC/Sud Aviation Concorde F - also fine builds.

Thanks to all who participated, regardless of whether entries were completed or not.  Thanks also to those who voted.

Once again we had a GB demonstrating whiffery at its best - high levels of inventiveness and imagination backed up by quality execution of the finished items.  Plus the usual range of killer comedy comments to keep us all on our toes.

Finally, a big personal thank you to TomZ for his efforts as lead moderator, without whom the final iteration of the rules and the polls would not have been possible.

Right then, the 50s GB beckons!

All 3 were winners!- and all quite different- 2 were ugly (in a great way), one was elegant- and all were brilliant!  Also some great runners up, and again a wide variety! Well done to all.

Well done chaps!!  Excellent builds all.  But I did love that Cobra...
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

OMG, that's a big surprise - being among the final voting trio has already been an unexpected honor, and for a long time the K-Cobra was significantly behind the leader! Apparently the final voters shifted things, I am surprised that the model made it to the top and with some good advance?

Thanks a lot for this funny GB, and the many creative contributions. All finalists (and IMHO many of the other builds, too) deserved an award, too!

I feel deeply honored, many, many thanks!  And also many thanks for the mods' work to set all this up and cunduct the two-stage voting!

Yahoooo!!!

Congratulations to the winners, all 3 deserved a gold medal.
And many thanks to the mods for their untiring efforts.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

PR19_Kit

That was SO close for ages, and then Thomas drew ahead by quite a chunk.

I'm just chuffed to have made 3rd place with an AIRLINER, for goodness sake!  ;D

Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I am sad! :(

Not because Dizzy won, he deserves the win, but because it wasn't a 3-way tie & all of them winners, which they all deserved to be!

Congratulations to all three of you, you are ALL winners to me!

Congratulations to all the other entrants who made this such a difficult GB to vote for & to the Mod's for getting the whole thing running smoothly!

Many congratulations to all three of you, thoroughly deserved

And many thanks as well to Dave and Tom for keeping the GB running smoothly and for dealing with the unprecedented three way tie
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Dizzyfugu

Adding a final round for the tie was a good solution!

Next GB,let's try for a FOUR-way tie...
