There were worthy backstories that didn't get nominated. Like, the Biggles story in zenrat's jet powered Airco DH2. But I'm confident that the model will win something anyway.

As that backstory was written by AI I feel that had it been included that would have, in a small way, speeded up the gestation of Skynet... :o  :dalek:

BTW, items BS07 and BS08 in the Back Story Voting thread are switched between the poll and the posting of the actual story.  I'm sure to won't matter as anyone here will be able to tell the difference between am F-16 and an A-61 if they are paying attention.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Not the story that is between the finished photos?

Ah no.  That one was me.  I forgot i'd written it.  I did have two goes at an AI version though.

One day i'd like to be able to knock out a backstory as long as one of Dizzy's.

I quite liked the one that you wrote. Funny and a bit crazy
A backstory doesn't really need to be long. For myself, I tend to browse threads quite quickly. If the story is very long there's a good chance that I'll skip over it, unless the first couple of sentences really grab my attention.
