Hello,

Yes, I have a Walderon punch.  I use it quite often.  I use it for cockpits, adding bolts to tanks or aircraft, and alot of other detail parts.  Yes, it is pretty much just several different sized tubes with a plastic guide.  You could probably make one yourself.

To be honest with you... I kinda feel like a moron for spending the $60 I got mine for.  I think I could have made the thing on my own.  However, its very very very useful.  I use it about every model that I build.

Cheers,

Was wondering if any of you own/use one of those Waldron Model Products \"Precision Punch & Die Sets\" for instrument gauges, etc.
Waldron doesn't show pics of these sets in their own pricelist.  The only time I've ever seen one was a close-up photo in a modeling mag.  From what I could tell, the punch and die set appeared to be only some metal tubing cut with beveled/sharpened aperture. It appears to come with a small, clear plastic template that has guiding holes through which you punch the tubing/die into your thin sheet plastic.

If you've got one of these sets, please let me know if you like using it, feel it was worth the $70-plus USD for it.  You can send me a private e-mail if you prefer.  Thanks!

Ack!  Now I'm REALLY tempted to spend the cash!

\"Thanks\"
