Talk radio.  Summer is coming which means the cricket will be on bringing with it the inane chatter from the commentary team which makes a good background noise.

When the talk gets irritating (which it will do soon as we are on the run up to a state election) then a selection from my iPod.  Last thing I played was TISM.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I'll listen to the Test Match commentary in the summer for the same reasons. Can't listen to football in the winter in the same way as I'm far to involved.

I can't say I like everything there but there is enough to keep me happy.

I saw Foetus live in London in the early 2000's.  A workmate said "want to come to a gig tonight, I got free tickets". His friend (or might have been his cousin) was something to do with the record company.  I had heard of Foetus but not heard any of his music.  We went straight from the office and were seriously overdressed.  Awesome gig.  I went out and got hold of as much of his music as I could.
The friend (or cousin) was the spitting image of Sarah Michelle Geller.  But only in profile.  Look her in the face and there was no resemblance.

When l'm modelling l'm often listening to Spotify and also building playlists that eventually get turned into mixes and posted on Mixcloud. It's mostly ambient stuff:

For myself, I like something loud in the background. Today's choice :Sabaton

I like all sorts of music from folky, singer-songwriter stuff to some pretty heavy metal. However most music doesn't work for modelling for me, because if I like the tune, I have to give it my full attention: it doesn't deserve to be background 'muzak'. So for modelling, I usually play talky things on Youtube, i.e. videos of podcasts. David Lightbringer's long Game Of Thrones videos are good for that. Others are Bridget Phetasy's Walk-Ins Welcome, Brett & Heather Weinstein's Dark Horse Podcast, some of The Lotus Eaters stuff, some of Jordan Peterson's stuff, and Q&A videos by Forgotten Weapons, The Chieftain and Drachinifel.

The only exceptions in the field of music are ambient/psychedelic instrumental stuff like Ozric Tentacles. Current new-found favorite in this genre is My Sleeping Karma. Havn't tried it as modelling mood music yet, but it seems promising:

My three favourite Toob "channels" right there!

Them & the Time Team back catalogue that I'm hunting down (if I wasn't such a cheapskate I'd fork out for History Hit & have full access to them all).

Same here... i'll lose concentration as soon as one that i really like comes up so i normally just put some podcast on like Joe Rogan or Lex Friedman, Randall Carson, etc. either on spotify or youtube.
That and aviation docs and channels like Rex's Hangar, Ed Nash's military matters...
