Since everybody else is doing it by doubling or tripling model kits, I guess I might as well jump on the bandwagon too.  ;D  ;D  ;D
Had this idea a few months ago by doubling up a B-2 stealth bomber kit. The B-4 extra, extra, extra long range stealth bomber.
Of course, whether or not this actually gets built anytime in the future is another matter entirely. The old Testor B-2 stealth bomber kits were notorious for gaps, ill fitting parts, and so much more.  :banghead:
So building something like this would be quite the headache. As well as needing a case of aspirin and a barrel of favorite alcoholic beverage.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Makes a nice looking twin, shame about the kit-fit

Maybe you could make the 2 models and cut the wings off scoring with a steel rule as the design is all straight lines?

You should have used the Revell 1/72 Northrop ATB kit for your build as the centre fuselage parts are straight with the curved wings added like butt joints which is why I used a wire coat hanger to strengthen the joints.

Just to play Devil's Advocate; you could always make it longer, rather than wider, by joining the kits nose to tail.

Back to front - the classic "Day after the night before" design ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
