That's one of my favourite 190 camouflages  :thumbsup:  I think I'm right in thinking some 109's had something similar ?

That's a Butcherbird from the Soviet front, not the Finnish area. My guess would be its more south than Finland, maybe more towards the Baltic states where the landscape is significantly more open and grassy than it is in Finland. But then again, I wasn't there.. ;)

I may be wrong but didn't some countries use water-based white paint to cover certain colours on camouflage schemes to "winterise" them? :unsure:

Distemper was used as a temporary finish in WW's I & II.

Well it so happens a guy in my model club has printed me off a sheet of Finnish flags to go on fins and rudders  :thumbsup:
