Allan

Hi fellows,
Went to Sydney for the weekend with the wife, travelling about 645 kilos.
Good trip and had lots of nice things to eat. Also, bought a great Beatles record at a local record fair.
Hi JHM, here are some more shots of my MIG for you, sorry if they're a little blurred.

And here is my Ta 154 slowly taking shape as one of the fantastic gold-plated airplanes of the Aztec Empire Air Force. It's hard to tell on these shots, but the plane has been sprayed gold. I'm busy knocking up some decals. I've made discs of yellow decal and slapped them onto the plane, fuselage and rudder. The next step is to make some brown equilateral triangles, cut them in half horizontally to represent the Aztec pyramid and put a small disc of red decal above it to represent a human heart. Hope you like it so far.

Lastly, here is my Japanese Mistel 747. The last time you saw it, it was green with silver blotches. It looked a little plain, so I've decided to put a little black-green paint into every siver blotch. Almost there.

Thanks, Allan!  Why I'm still a big fan of that MiG, it's your Japanese Mistel scheme that blows me away.  What a great enhancement your added black internal spots are!  That scheme would look soooooo good on a Babylon-5 Starfury or, better yet: a completely original Sci-Fi combat fighter.

Way to go (keep 'em coming)!!

Hi Baz,

Will do, mate, will do.

Allan

I've painted some dark sand yellow onto some clear decal film to represent the pyramids. Gotta put another coat on tonight.

Lovely weathering on that crazy little Mig

Like the Aztec plane, but how come it looks silver?

And that "snakeskin" camo on the 747 rocks!

Nev,

Then let me take a small bow and say thank you.

I still reckon you're going to get a pair of shoes out of that 747  :P  Great painting though Al

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hey Allen looks fantastic mate.

Love the paint job on the 747 It has inspired me to do something similar with a current Sc-Fi project that I am working on.

Not doing much in the way of What if at the moment but I do have something on the back burner.

Promise pics in the future.

That Mistel is positively eye-boggling

Bloody gorgeous too!

Is that Ta-154 going to get an anti-glare panel on the inside of each nacelle or does the crew wear welder's goggles?  :P

Believe I've just picked up the perfect Sci-Fi kit on which to explore with Allan's great paint scheme.

1:24 ? scale snap-together kit from Star Trek Nemesis (this cool little craft could spawn all sorts of SF What If ideas).

Now, to keep it very alien, got to come up with truly bizarre colors which would only make sense to a being who sees on an alternative visual wavelength on a world with a different colored sun, sky, etc.

What happens when you mix equal parts of tan, blue and gold together....
