Hi team,
I need four 1/72 stars for a Yak-3 - the fuselage and fin ones as seen on this example:

The kit's ones had ivory instead of white, and the stars on the aftermarket sheet I got were too large and generally not good.

Thank you in advance!

Let me check the stash. I know I have some but I'll see if their right.

Hey, Zac.

If Kerick can't, I may have something that could suit.
I will keep an eye on the thread.

I could print some of all else fails.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I've got some old Hasegawa ones that might suit Zac. Not sure if the white is "that" white and you'd have to trim the fuselage flash from them, but that's easy.

Also I've only ones for the fuselage and tail fin, none for the wings.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

She's a beauty.

If Kerick, Rick and Chris haven't satisfied you by next week then give me a hoy.  We'll be home then and i can have a rummage.  I almost certainly have what you want.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thank you all, I really appreciate it!

Here is what I have. It's an old Micro scale sheet for 1/72nd MiG-21s. The large star is scale 3'-3" from tip to tip. The white on the aircraft looks much wider than the decal.

Tell me what you think and how many you need. Only two of the small stars but plenty of the larger ones. I'm close to Chicago but postage on a regular envelope should be pretty cheap. Don't worry about that. Actually I can almost buy a can of soda for the postage so no worries.
I should test one to see if they are still good. Some of mine are old like me!

Thank you for digging those out and for your kind offer, but the style's a bit too different for my tastes. I really appreciate your effort though!

Zac, one of the ones I have is a Yak-specific sheet (the one from the Hasegawa Normandie-Nieman kit) and the other is a generic sheet of various styles.
The generic one doesn't look to have anything with a white border as wide as that on the plane, and the Hasegawa sheet may be a bit too 'cream-ish' for your purposes.
I will try to get some shots and forward them.

I'm fairly sure that the ones I have in my "odds and sods" box are from  that Hasegawa sheet

Begemot does a very nice and exhaustive generic 1:72 scale Red Stars sheet. Highly recommended, but it might have become difficult to procure.
