Help!

My future is almost all gone and I can't find it in the shops here.
I live in the Netherlands and travel to Germany often and I am in the UK next week.

Can any of the members in any of these countries tell me the secret: How is it called nowadays and where can I buy it?

I heard rumors that the product "Erdal Glänzer" was very similar in use and effect? Cannot confirm this personally, though.

In the UK it's marketed as Klear Tom. The formulae changed a couple of years ago and most of us Brits stocked up on the old stuff. I've heard however that while the new formulae looks cloudy it dries perfectly clear and glossy and can be used.

I've no personal experience of it though.

When and where are you going to be in the UK Tom?

I'm near Manchester and I can give you a bottle of Klear (old-style, same as Future), but I'll be at work so my ability to travel will be limited during the week.

The wife an I will be in the Cotswold for the week and then go to Shuttleworth for the airshow on the 7th.

I've not managed to find 'clear' Klear in supermarkets for some time sadly.

They have different coloured versions, green and brown, but those would be useless for our needs, and I'm running out of it too.

Isn't Humbrol 'Clear' much the same thing as well?

Isn't Pledge the new Klear?, not tried it but seen it used on Youtube

I'm sure there's a version of Pledge that is similar. I only use it for canopies as the results I was getting with decals were not what it was.

I think it's still Klear here but I would have to look. Not much help I'm afraid. I've had a bottle for a really long time and I wonder if it's still good?

Nope, I was wrong. Its called Pledge Revive. Something else called Quick Shine that's cheaper but I don't know if it will work.

I agree. I haven't tried the AK product, but the Alclad II Aqua Gloss Clear works much like Future (it doesn't have the fruity smell, though)

I first read the title and started to wonder......

I ran out of Future/Pledge years ago & have been unable to find anything similar here in Sth Aus since.

Mostly I've just been skipping that bit & using clear gloss before applying transfers/decals, & praying to Styrene that my canopies don't yellow.

I have fixed scratches on canopies by buffing out the worst of it & dipping the canopy in thinned Tamiya acrylic gloss clear.
