Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I first read about laser-sintered powdered metal additive manufacturing, the 3d-printing of metal, back in the 1990s.

I think that's just a rebranded Chinese 3D printer, like this one . Tiny bed and it's unheated so it can only print PLA.

@Wardukw - filament printers, especially when printing in ABS, are good for printing basic model structures, like an aircraft framework that will later be covered with styrene sheets, or solid, smooth wings. I printed a large circular wing in ABS at  low resoluion:

with a combination of sanding, acetone and primer, I got it to this stage:

A little extra sanding and more primer got it nice and smooth.

Frank that looks very cool and alot of work to clean up 😆
That would be great for wings for sure and maybe even tank hulls if it's got the space 😀
Oh, that link didn't seem to work mate 😕
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.

Wakey wakey!
I have plans for a ship, specifically a WW1 U-boat, I would like turned into a 3d model.  Does anyone know of good resources for such?

I'd only need one for myself, of course, and as such I'd prefer a creator who'd be able to sell more of them to other builders.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
