FINISHED! Didn't really do much on this model project. Was originally hoping to turn it into a humorous subject by making it into a "sub sandwich". But that idea never worked out for various reasons. So what else could I do?
The model was built in a what if fictional dark blue (Vallejo # 71.005 Grey Blue) scheme instead of the usual standard black (or very dark grey) scheme found on current modern US Navy subs. Black is too plain and boring, so I wanted to use some shade of blue if the US Navy were to do experiments with a blue color for testing and evaluation purposes to try and blend in better with surrounding ocean waters. The displayed Tomahawk cruise missile and Mk.48 torpedo are spare part items from other model kits. No other modifications were made to the submarine model itself. All submarine data specifications on the display base are from Wikipedia on the Internet.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Huzzah!  I think the USN should consider this color scheme.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Since people can't see my earlier pics because they had to log into the forums to see the post attachments, here instead is some of the same pics for viewing without having a person have to log into the forums.
