close to 1/72

I have many many1/72 scale aircraft, and a few "close to 1/72; a 1/67 Monogram B-26, 1/70 F-100 and a few 1/76 A-5As.  Is there a general rule of thumb for off-scale kits that are close enough to 1/72 that they can be displayed with them?

Then you have to check to see what scale is it actually compared to what it says it is.

Is there a hard-and-fast rule for competitions?
Or are they willing to have a bit of flexibility with the scale categories?
I suppose it depends on the committee...

If they're really pedantic about it, I can see yours being the only entries in the category and sweeping the prize pool! 

There again, if there isn't another of the same type alongside it, no one would know unless you told them...

At the 'strayan Model Expo aircraft classes are divided up as follows;

Large = 1/32 and larger.
Medium = 1/33 to 1/71.
Small = 1/72 to 1/79.
Smaller = 1/80 and smaller.

So if they were sticklers for the rules the B-26 and F100 would go into medium and the A-5As into small.

How you want to display things is a personal decision, I don't see how any rule would apply.
