What is the gun pod in center line of this Phantom?

No problem. The Gun Pod in the Matchbox roughly looks like what it should be, the Fujimi kit, recently reboxes by Italeri is reasonable but not 100% correct. The New Airfix F-4 M kit has a decent gun pod while Odds & Ordnance did a great version. However the Odds & Ordnance range was sold to Alley Cat who have now been sold onto Models for Sale who do not have that item in their range. That means if your after one, your options could be limited.

Slightly different variant. THe one used on the UK Phantoms has a hood on top of the front end of the actual pod. The versions in the Hasagawa weapos set do not.

There are 2 gin pods in the Hasegawa set #2, US guided bombs and gun pods. I think you may have them mixed up because the one with a "hood" is marked as SUU-23A and the one without it is the Hipeg 20mm. Maybe i'm missing something but i think this is what's happening.

It's the one on the top left corner of the sprues, SUU-23/A.
