That thought had occurred to me when I first posted this item!

Madame Rheged  has just suggested that a diorama of one or more of these devices, accompanied by a squad of infantry mounted on pogo sticks  might be in order  (but Bridget has the same inverted sideways view of life  as I do!)

And they just have to be wearing slouch/campaign hats   ;)
The crew or the hopping machine?
;)

And instead of a German Shepard dog they would have kangaroo to keep up.

Please congratulate Madame Rheged on having just the sort of twisted imagination we appreciate around here... ;D

I think, given the franchise's prediliction for walking machines, that we need a sci-fi version of this in Star Wars. I can just see it now, hopping across the snowfields of Hoth, with it's crew having to pull their oversized helmets up from over their eyes after every take-off and landing...

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I've been trying to find the video but somewhere there is a YouTube of Boston Dynamics (I think) early prototype robot that is exactly one of these (but smaller).

There is a video on YouTube by Cone of arc on this hopping tank in his cursed by design series.

While keeping their eyes open for a pair of grunts carrying a spare tow cable to trip the thing up!
