Decided rather than to just work on this in the background I would actually start a thread for it.

Been working on detailing the cockpit for the last week and got this far up to now

I had been working on this for some time and a few days ago I removed the backseater's instrument panel and combing as it was seated too high. Unfortunatly I had to break it off and remove some of the plastic so that it would sit right, the next time I will pay more attention and remove the plastic befor I glue it in place. I will try to detail the edges of some parts of the etch that are showing their edges a bit too much and I have only just started work on the seats today, but they can fit in later, so no problem with that.

And yes it is 1/72

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Cool.

Hopefully all the glory will remain visible once it has been implanted!  :-\

Repositioned the Navigators left hand side panel as it was squint, this was after realizing that I had been fiddling with a pair of self gripping tweezers that had a leaver for the Pilot's instrument panel. Can I find it? Can I heck  :banghead:  :banghead:
Folded up the throttle leavers and tried to position them, no joy. Think I need to file the sharp edges off the tops and bottoms of both levers before trying again.

The problem, as you can see from the above picture is that they are rather small

The missing leaver is about twice as long with the end being smaller in length but a bit wider.

One of the reasons I build several kits at the same time is so I can work on something else when stressed by one kit or while waiting for paint to dry. So on with a Buccaneer I think.

Yippee     I found the missing part!

while I was looking for another part that went AWOL  :banghead:

This time its the Right Hand Forward Panel for the Pilot of this Buccaneer.

As you can see it's nowhere near as small as the leaver so I should be able to find it, you would think  :-\

It's 3 x 8mm at it's longest and widest points so not exactly that small. It's even shiny on the underside because it's etched steel!

No where to be seen at all  :banghead:  :banghead:

If I can't find it by lunch time tomorrow I will "borrow" the same part from a different kit with a view to putting the currently lost part in the other kit's etch set.

Small ?? They are tiny  :o
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
