That sounds like a good plan too Lee, unless I just put sidewinders on it or an underfuselage pod with a radar in it and firestreaks.

I used a long Hunter tank as a conformal tank underneath.  There's photos of it and an accompanying article in one of the Sig newsletters from 2022.  Don't recall which one though.

Did you use that as a fuel tank or a radar pod Lee?

Fuel tank.  As I said, the model had the original kit nose, the back story said it was a fighter used as a range target and the nose section too far gone to restore, so they used a research aircraft nose donated by a collector.
Iirc I added a few vents, blisters and a fin tip warning radar.  I never did get round to fitting the Firestreaks.

I see, I have ordered a.milan nose for mine and hopefully, I can get it to fit without too many problems.
