Air-Craft Models, run by Martin Blundell who I believe some of you know, has just bought Whirlybird models in it's entirety from it's retiring previous owner. He has all the old stock (not the full range) and plans to put much of the range back into production in stages. Obviously this depends on cash flow, demand, production practicalities and the like.

As of right now he's only selling on Ebay, but he intends to start a website soon, so you'll actually be able to BUY Whirlybirds stuff without attending a show or sending smoke signals...

He seems to have two ebay stores at the moment:
aircraftmodels: https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/aircraftmodels?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l2559 (ex-Whirlybird full kits plus Alouette III conversion sets)
marblun26: https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/marblun26?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l2559 (other ex-Whirlybird conversion sets plus Coastal Craft and Air-Craft stuff)

Full kits in production now include (all 1/72nd):
Whirlwind (11 different kits)
Puma (7 different kits)
Sikorsky S-62/HH-52 (4 different kits, not on the Ebay shop yet)
Sikorsky CH-3/HH-3/MH-3 (6 different kits, not on the Ebay shop yet)

The S-62 is so cute, the Sea King's pudgy little brother.

And features in so many movies pretending to be a Sea King  too.  ;D

Hopefully this means that the old Maintrack Project X Range, which Whirlibird rereleased, should be available again.

Absolutely! They did some excellent stuff in that range, bags of Whiff fodder there!

IIRC, Martin Blundell bought up all the Maintrack catalogue when Pete Lockheart retired/passed, then sold it on to Roger Evans, who brought much of it back out as Whirlibird.

After seeing the Whirlybirds stuff on The Bay, I queried Martin on Jan 22nd about the P.1121, P.1154 and P.1A kits. His response was that they'd only bought the Whirlybird side of the business because the asking price for the Maintrack masters was too high. Hence the Hawkers won't be appearing, but the P.1A will come out soon.
