Whatever.

I am impressed. That looks so right in RNZAF colours and it would have been a good fit for their needs too.

I have 2 Italeri kits in the stash and the Warrior Model kit half started.

Captain Canada

Very nice. Tough looking little bird in that scheme and armed to the hilt !

We were at one point a while ago doing a deal with the US of A land for a very nice pile of F-16s ..the US were giving us a great deal here with tons of spare parts and training.
Then the government changed and the female in charge slammed the door on the deal and the really annoyed the blokes in the states .
Strangely a 1.2 billion dollar meat deal which was being organized with the US got canceled by the US ..funny that    ;D

Now imagine F-16s painted this 😍 😳
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

She was never a fan of the Strike Wing... was among those out on the streets protesting when the Skyhawks were first bought, and when she got the top job she axed the whole Wing.
Cos no-one's going to attack a small country out in the middle of nowhere, right?

Sorry Chris - Rant Mode is self-starting on some subjects...  ;)

That looks great and makes total sense.  Totally agree with the choice of the three-colour scheme: it makes everything look good.

The main reasons the AMX didn't sell were:

1. It had an "old" engine in order to save money,
2. It was more expensive than armed trainers, which met many small air forces' attack requirements, but it didn't have credible air-to-air capability like an upgraded F-5E or MiG-21.

Ironically the Jaguar, which is, in effect, a mildly supersonic AMX, did quite well export-wise: never underestimate the irrational sexyness of supersonics...

Speaking of the Jaguar, I always like the idea of NZ snapping up the second batch of Jags ordered by Nigeria but undelivered for years due to a dispute about support contracts. It could be linked to them buying Hawks instead of MB-339s, thus giving them an all-Adour-powered fleet.

Not a silly thought - I've liked the Hawk for a while.  Especially the single-seater.

Now Stoppit!! I have enough potential projects as it is, thank you!  ;)
