Revell provides two kits based on the Airbus A400M Atlas/Grisly aircraft, I have had a go at building the 1/72 model and decided to change the turboprop engines to turbofans but someone else beat me to it so I opted for a flying boat version. This was never finished, parts were donated to the Convair B-36 Peacemaker.
Having read a few articles from the book Nimrod's Genesis it seems that BAe had several ideas on how to configure it for the maritime reconnaissance role and even a multirole combining AEW using the Forward Aft Scanner System, the belief being that all of the Gremlins would have been ironed out before the first test flight unlike the BAe Nimrod AEW.3 saga.

The 1/72 BAe Nimrod AEW.3 conversion set is available and over the years I have had several sets which have been used and abused for other projects.
The line drawings certainly helps if I build it almost straight out of the box but the BAe.849/104 proposal shows the wings in the lower position with a landing gear tucked in the wings.

I think that a bit of scratchbuilding would result in a reasonable model of the concept and eliminate the tricky main landing gear. A substitute will need to be sourced.

Well that's what it's supposed to look like but there will be a few changes during the construction and loads of spare parts.

Speaking as a Scot from the northern colony, I wouldn't personally be using the name "Sturgeon"  ;)  ;D .Like your concept though  . May I respectfully suggest that the name  "Triton" (son of the Greek god Poseidon) might actually be a better choice? On a similar note, I'm going to build a M P A  version of the Airbus A321 for my Feachd an Adhair Poblachd Neo-eisimeileach na h-Alba (Air Force Independent Republic of Scotland) collection. It'll be called Iolair Uisge (Osprey). I've chosen the name Atlantaig for my Breguet Atlantic! ;D  Seemed an easy choice.
