What a brill vid, the few errors nothwithstanding.

Someone of my acquaintance, who may or may not have observed the event with their own eyes, describes the 'last flight' of an SAAF pilot who was on exchange with the RAF and flying with 208 Sqdn. As it was his last flight with both the RAF and the SAAF, he was due to fly back to South Africa the next day, he asked for permission to do a low fly past before landing on return from a training mission to Tain Ranges on the other side of the Moray Firth. Permission was given, and the Bucc was seen to fly past the Tower BELOW the level of the balcony and in between then Tower and the row of hangars at Lossie!  :o  :o  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

What is claimed for the Buccaneer is legendary.  Rather like the RAAF's F-111s at Nellis.   Nothing could intercept them, nothing could match their inlet temperatures.  The F-16 gave up, their inlets became simply too hot to match the F-111 at such low level.  There was no chance that an F-15 ir an F-4 would even try.  They also had problems with Rooster Tails in the dust.   Not even the USAF's F-111 pilots dared to take them on.
