This model is based on WoWp MMO game's Tachikawa Ki-162-III. It's a Japanese license built Heinkel He 162 that is improved with dual engine, wider fuselage, bigger wings and elevator.

It is based on Special Hobby's wonderful 1/72 kit. To get two engines I had two kits. The other kit that lost its engine was used for the He 162A11 project that had Welland engine. The fuselage was widened 2mm and the wings were extended. The wider elevator is from Dragon's He 162 kit. The rockets under the wings are from AZ model kit. The canopy had to be made new by heatforming clear plastic sheet.

This is actually my 12th He 162  ;D  For comparison I have here Demuth's He 162A-2 with single BMW 003.

That is tremendous

PS. I can confirm just how nice the Special Hobby kit is
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Uh, that's great.   The widened hull really makes a difference, esp. with the twin-engines on the back.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
