From some angles the turret almost looks like something you'd see on a late War british cruiser type tank ? and on others it's very KV series. Makes you think  :thumbsup:

I think so, too.

I was thinking the turret looks a lot like the WW2 Challenger.

Thanks a lot, gentlebeings. I am surprised how much the wheels change the Panther's look and add a Soviet touch. The turret was initially a bit disappointing, because the lowered KV-2 turret looked SO much like a welded KV-1 turret, that I initially wanted to skip it (and use it on a Churchill!). But the simple design eventually convinced me - even though the KVs' turret ring is apparently VERY small, no wonder that this huge tank did not have much development potential for bigger weapons. The new hull roof in the views from above reveals that, and the new turret there for looks a bit small on the Panther, even though it's not so obvious in a side view. The whole package looks quite plausible, though.  ;D
