There's been a few attempts to streamline the Schools Class locomotive and judging by the photos that I've seen this requires lots of plastic card something that I don't have at the moment.
So I have decided to use the Hornby A4 bodyshell to streamline the 00 gauge Dapol/Kitmaster kit which was bought off eBay and is warped in various places. Some of the smaller parts are missing so I've had to improvise. It's now a static model.
As you can see I've only used a small section and it needs PSR and a few photos to sort out the running gear.

This build now has the A4 bodyshell minus the cab cut to size to fit, the boiler from the Schools Class and other upper body details have been removed. After breaking two elastic bands during the gluing stage tape has been applied and I will leave it overnight to dry.
This looks nothing like the streamline Schools Class locomotive, hence the name change.

New cab roof.

It's from the same tin of Humbrol 33 mat black enamel paint but they look like two different colours whilst they are drying.

Decals are on and it's just getting hold of the buffers, almost finished.

On some photos the serial number is lower down towards the buffer beam and others have a name plate on the front.
