As pervious discussed I have a built Airfix 1/32 Triumph TR4A that was in need of some restoration. Having seen photos of the GT4 Dove I reckon that I can convert the TR4A to something similar using parts from a Heller 1/43 Rover SD1 3500. I had the intention to restore this model but the hatchback fits the space where the trunk/boot lid is either a T-bar roof or a new hard top roof will be needed. I can use a piece of fine sandpaper for the parcel shelf and clear plastic for the windows.

As usual this hasn't gone to plan the front end has changed to something I've seen either a prototype or mockup by one of the Italian design companies.
So I've glued the bumper from the Rover SD1 where the front grill would be so it looks something like the front of the classic Batmobile, the hood/bonnet has been glued shut. The hatchback frame although broken in several places has been glued on and painted using Tamiya X16 Purple acrylic paint with a hairy brush.
Now that I know what the build will look like, a little PSR and scrap clear plastic for the side window and rear.

With the original roof not glued on but the windscreen is.

The Dovetail is no longer a hatchback, but retains the ragtop roof and boot as the latch mechanism folds out at 90°so you can slide items inside it. It has a five speed manual gearbox with override on fourth and fifth gears. Twin carburettors and sports tuning pack.  Fixed head coupe design.
