Here's my Japanese Maritime "Self Defense" Force F-14J.

It's a standard 1/72 Italeri F-14A painted up like a Japanese version of a WWII warbird.  I got the decals from some Fujimi Japanese WWII bomber kit.  I added AGM-62 Walleye bombs on the wing pylons to go along with the bomber squadron markings I got from the kit.  I figure this thing flies off of Japan's carriers, the five Kongo class, built in the US to a modified US Kitty Hawk design (smaller than the Kitty Hawks, with three catapults and elevators, similar to the German Deutschland class).  They'd be replaced by F/A-18EJ and F/A-18FJ's after 2005.  I'll eventually get around to posting my carrier air wings in the Alternate History forum.

We had a proposal a while back to do a group build of modern aircraft in classic color schemes. I've a Mirage that someday will be done up in a green paint with a big white "death" running down the side.

As for the Japanese, I've just about finished their first CVDN, the Honshu, and once she's been docked and her airgroup loaded I'll be posting photos. I'd love to see how your universe compares to mine!  ^_^

Keep posting the photos, I'm lovin' 'em!
