my annual birthday present for a friend of mine who collects model buses is a What If? bus, he's had a WWII tank-bus, racing bus & double decker bendy-bus in the past...

this time it's a Royal Ulster Constabulary armoured riot control bus!  ;)  for those riots when you just need that extra manpower

Captain Canada

Cool !

And when the riot is over , you can just pop open the side there, and have a mobile chippie !

I'll take a Coke with mine, please........

Cheers to having great friends, eh ?

Fantastic, Mike!  Other than the wheels/tires, is this 100% scratchbuilt?

Is it 1:35 scale?  (judging by the figure but I could be wrong about that, too)

wicked.

now, if you just make a couple more you'll have about 80 HUNGRY riot police come lunchtime...

and Toad's chip van idea...

How about one of these in flat grey with bars on the windows, and a RUC WPC inside handing out bacon sandwiches and cups of tea?

I'm sure that Radish will back me up here.... ;)

it's 1/76, based on a diecast bus which I simply clad in plastic card, the mesh is etched brass. Paint is actually Halfords grey primer as it's a pretty much spot-on match for the real thing

the figure is a Revell vinyl German special forces figure (of which I have another 47 now spare)

cheers chaps  :D
