Here are a couple of Pics from a former lurker! I've been looking at this group for a while and decided to jump in and join up.

Here is a SEA F-7F Tigercat.  The USAF was looking for surplus aircraft to send to Viet Nam to help the VNAF.  The Tigercat preformed admirably as a close support aircraft.

Take a look at the postings by member tigercat2, name says it all.  ^_^

You and he should get along famously, he's been modeling F-7s like crazy (which is really the only way we do things around here).  :D

Your SEA F7F is fantastic.  I had the same idea in about 1977, and since then have cranked out about 20 of them, in various "Jungle Fighter" schemes.  Did you use the Monogram kit in 1/72?

Hi Tigercat 2,  Yea, its the old monogram cat.  It is a fun kit to build too, kinda just falls together.  Here is anothe one I built from the RoG version of this kit.

The only thing that could make that SEA Tigercat look better would be if it was in proper USMC livery!

Great Tigercats
I don't know if selecting the F-7 name, you thought you were filling a hole in USAF numbering. According to my database, the F-7 USAF/USN code was, as YF-7, used for the Convair F2Y Seadart, while the F-6 and F-8 went to F4D Skyray and F8U Crusader.
