with potentially hostile neighbours such as Argentina & Peru upgrading their armoured strength in reccent years Chile placed an order for 202 former Swedish Army Strv 103Cs in 1998. In Chilean service they are named Cheetahs.

While most are operated in a standard olive green those operated by the Vencedores Regiment in the Arica desert region of the north have a sand & brown scheme.

I've built about five of the Trumpeter kits -- love that tank!

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

Nice one Mike - was thinking of picking up a 1/72 one
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

it's a nicely detailled kit, there's a lot of parts in the box for 1/72 too, the commander's cupola has about 15 separate parts

the suspension arm/hull joints are very weak though & I had to bodge a few slivers of plastic & some superglue here & there to make sure they didn't start falling off. But you can position them however you want to you can have it sat back or forward on it's suspension. The tracks have about 3 or 4 links too many & I sliced a few out & stapled them together to keep them fairly tight against the roadwheels underneath.

oh, I think they've put the jerrycans on the wrong way round, the filler caps should be along the rear not the front, but who really cares?  ;)
