I was browsing the future releases listings on HLJ and right at the top of the first page they have the TSR-2 as a November release with a price of about 15 pounds, with ordering starting after September the first.

HLJ

This is interesting as I buy a lot of stuff from HLJ and it will be good if this is an alternative to using Hannants, especially as HLj usually get my orders out here in 5-6 days.

Well, it went on order on September the first and by the time I remembered and checked on the second the kit was order stop because they allready had as many orders as they could get from their supplier.

Does anyone doubt that the kit will fly of the shelves if it ever gets on them in the first place?

I hope you manage to get at least one.  I've got 3 on order from 2 different sources, and until I have all 3 in my sweaty paws, I won't be certain of receiving them.

I wonder if my local shop will be able to get some ?

Hope so !

Nev, I have seven on order from Hannants in two seperate orders of six and one. I was going to order a couple from HLJ to have sent straight here to Oman and have the Hannants order sent home to Oz as my stash.

It really doesn't matter as I think the pre-order popularity of the kit will force Airfix to do a second run (which I believe they allways intended to) and they will be generally available..........at which time I will pick them up whenever I see them. :D

The prototype in 1/48 scale looks great, I wonder why they didn't go for it in that scale...

Thanks to HyperScale for the news flash about this kit!

I just read that the kit is being mastered and molded by Trumpeter, which is a good thing if true given Trumpeters recent vast improvement in quality lately, witness the Wyvern, 1/32 Me-262 and others.

Of course, Trumpeter LIKE 1/32 scale, so even if the 1/72 scale version was a contract from Airfix/Heller/Humbrol they will know how popular the pre-order situation is and may be tempted to "upsize" the kit...... ;)

Then I will buy three of the buggers!
