Nice picture... :)
What is the model scale? and where did you take the extra engines from?

Glenn,

Well, I dunno...

Clearly, you didn't depict the trim tab actuators correctly for this particular production model.  It's somewhat difficult to tell from the angle you photographed the model but I think you've got the wrong engine oil cooler inlet type on the number two engine.  Also, the cockpit glazing is incorrectly spaced as it does not show the smaller window on the right side which was hinged and could be open for cockpit ventilation.  But that's rather common error as it rarely was ever popped open in flight.  Now, it might be the lighting used in the photograph but I think you also got the wrong shade of gray used on the fabric covered control surfaces.  From my references it should closer to FS 36231 (Humbrol 140, Gunze H317) but, as I said, it could just be the lighting.  Now, as to the rigging of the radio aerials, it seems to me there should be two separate insulators on the forward portion and not the one which you depicted...

Seriously though!  Nice work and nicely photographed / Photoshopped.  Thanks for posting it!

Sisko made another 4-engined He-111: He-222 (see http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...?showtopic=5792 for newcomers) while I have not seen this model as finished (in this forum). It would be wonderful to have a picture here to compare with Glenn's He-116. A bunch of different dreams side by side in the same direction, great! As this is art, it is not mass-production, but personal touches diverting from an initial subject. Nice! :)

Glenn

Tophe,
The scale is 1/144 and the engines are scratch built. To make it in 1/72 you'd need a couple of Siebel 204's, as they are the same engines.

More then ever, you are convincing me that 1/144 scale is the best for my taste, Glenn, focusing on shape changes. :) (Alas I have dozens of 1/72 kits in stock and need to build them before ordering again...).
I do not understand what you said about 1/72 engines: according to my source (Putnam), the He111H-6 used 2 Jumo 211F-1 engines, about 1,000hp each, while the Si204 used Argus As410/411 engines, about 500hp. Have you made a He-116 with 4x500hp to improve reliability or range over the He-111 with 2x1,000hp? Please explain us, this is very interesting, as a complement to appreciate fully your creation, already nice in itself...
