I finished off this Electra in Ansett Airlines just recently. The model is Hobbycraft, (I think) and the decals are 'Hawkeye' Australian decals. The diorama represents an airport somewhere in Australia in the early 1970's.

Scale : 1/144
Figures: Preiser

Very nice, Lyn. I love the Ellectra, and all it's follow-ons. It's one of those a/c that just look right.

The Preiser figures are cool...I need to find a  place to get some here in Canada.

Cheers !

That's very well done Glenn! I love the livery you chose and thos little figures really tie the whole thing together! Nice dio! Gotta love those great Minicraft Electras. I have one I bashed into a prewar patrol bomber. U.S. flag stripes on the tail, star and meatball insignia and war games camo scheme. I added little gun turrets and nose glazing from clear blister pack material. Once I get my cam together, I'll try to post some pics. Thanks for sharing your cool Ansett Electra with us!

Looking good! Now I need to find one for myself and paint it up as a Tasman Empire Air Lines aircraft. Mmmm....old Kiwi airliners.... Great build! Love it!

TEAL markings would look fantastic!
