hi all!
as you know I want produce a small series of conversions in resin....
the Sea Typhoon is the next (because the biggest advice) after the Jet Mossie and Mustang FTB.
my problem at this time is following...
which version of the aircraft should I produce? the car door type? the late typhoon tear drop canopy type? or maybe the showed in the drawing proposed in the real project?
at this point much thanks for the drawing to Christopher !

regards and thanks in advance for repply and interest  on my idea to produce these resin conversions!
the advice is greater as anticipated and gives me the incentive to make another types... B)
which?...we will see...
´some guys mentionned the false scale...builds most of us really in 1/72 scale?
regards

I would doubt the car door type would actually go to sea as if & when the Aircraft ditched the car door would be too difficult to open. the more standard top opening canopy would be the safer option.

Agreed.  Car door might be on a prototype or testbed but would be totally unfeasible for any operational aircraft.

BTW, I've got the drawings on that one from Unknown, too.

But then, with the way the Navy often got lumbered with castoffs and crap, they probably would have been given the car-door type.  <_<

Not if you put on floats! :o

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Well, I'd be interested by the FTB conversion  :) but only if 1/72, sorry :( , as this is the scale of my P-82s & P-51s kits yet to build.
I wish you a great success with 1/48 modellers - I know 1/48 is better for details than 1/72, you are probably right while I am probably wrong. I mean it, this is not a grin. Sorry... :(
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

I'd go with teardrop canopy as well

My choice? Teardrop with "go faster" stripes. But thats just me...
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

thanks  ;)
I think the option is the best because it looks very masculin ( ) and "typhoonisch"
I will check if I can made a complete kit because some parts would made problems during construction..and...if the price would be about 30 euro + the hasegawa kit (next 30?)so why not the complete kit for ca.45?
and...this one will be definitely produced in 1/72 scale...the first one I think....

I build strictly 1:72.....but if the P-40H Kittiwakes      are built in 1:48 then, hell, I'd HAVE to get one! Well, maybe four.... ;)

I'm a small-scale builder as well...strictly 1/72 & 1/144. I wish you well with your 1/48 offerings. I know they'll sell like hotcakes! Keep us posted, wolfik. If you ever do anything in 1/72, I'll be on it like a hawk on a june bug.

Wolfik - if you produce anything in 1/72 scale then I'd definately be interested

wt he said.

In all seriosness though, I would love to see this kitted. Especially if you do it in 72nd as you're thinking to. Good luck to you.
