The EF-86T was a development of the world famous F-86 Sabre by North American aviation, intended as an high altitude recon aircraft, it was powered by an eggsperimental General Egglecteric engine.  However, no order was forthcoming from the USAF and the only prototype spent its life as an unarmed aircraft researching high speed, high altitude flight.

I know what a fan Tophe is of egg-planes, unarmed planes, and twin boom-planes, so I wanted to combine all 3 into one aircraft.

The Hasegawa F-86 egg plane was kindly supplied by Aircav, the twin booms came from an Airfix Vampire.  Tail cut off, airbrakes and cannon filled in.  Painted using a can of Halfords "Ford Carribean Blue" which I bought cos it looked a close match for PRU blue - the canopy has been painted with Xtracrylics PRU Blue, which has a much greyer hue.

Hope you like it.

Thats finished model number 7 for the year!!!  :o

Oh, I am unable to do that, this little baby Sabre is so lovely, and with twin-booms moreover to please me  ... I love her  . I ask, a little shy: may I kiss you, EF-86T?

I should be outraged at such heresy, to subvert the mighty Sabre in such a fashion, blasphemous but she's just sooooooooo darn cute      .

Why do I envision Gromit in the cockpit?

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

So do I  :P

Great job Nev - I wondered what paint you'd used, it looks suitably experimantal

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Tophe

JMN question  : Hey! Can't you see the tailplane would be burnt away by the jet exhaust?!
Answer ^_^ : in this EF-86T quiet universe, the jet fire is like a candle, going up gently, not much rearward... ;)

Its made of titanium, with a special heat resistant paint coating it ;)

I told you the USAF never ordered it, they had their reasons!  :P
