The best part of the movie were the chase scenes between the Stearman and the two Defenders. But, how many of you guys saw that there were at least two Stearman biplanes? The one used the most, is the one here, the other one has squared off wings, and is used in some of the low level scenes.

Model : Lindberg Boeing Stearman
Scale :1/48
Mods. : Collector's Ring/Spinner/ Dusting tank and Nozzle.

There are so many Stearman's used in films, Tora Tora Tora, It happened at the World Fair and Kill Charlie Varick to name a few.

Excellent! Stearmans are the best American biplanes in my opinion and that is a great build of that American Idol!  B) Gotta see Capricorn 1 now! Off to the video store I go...

Gorgeous work!!  Relative to Capricorn 1, I do know from folk who were at Learjet at the time just how they did that sequence in the movie.

Ooooooo...studio scale modeling in a What If vein: think you've created an entirely new category here.

Firefox up next?
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Seeing you liked it so much, another shot.
Yea, forget 'North by Northwest', how many others are there.
There was one in Pearl Harbour! God, I must have missed it! The next time I watch that movie, I hope I'm drunk!

Evan, for the Lear, they glued a fake wheel to the underside of the plane, and when they flew by, it tore off.

That's what I read on Warbird Information Exchange...
