I don't know how far you guys go back but, in the '70's the BBC made a TV series called AIRLINE. It was loosely based on the life of Freddy Laker and was about an x RAF pilot, (1945) trying to start his own airline, well this is one of his C-47's. The model is 1/144 'Minicraft', and the only modifications were the astrodome and scoring the cargo doors on the port side.

Yeah I remeber that show, thought it was pretty damm good as well.  Your plane is stunning as usual mate, and the backdrop really shows it off well.
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

I remember that!

Pedant Alert !

I'm sure the programme was on ITV !

Anyhoos, that's not important, what is important is that it is a fine model of a truly great airplane. I flew in one once, one of my favourite memories; Watching the sun glinting on the leaking hydraulic fluid streaming over the wing.....

Martin, yea, take it.....look, I've got a couple of the series on video. So, if he wants them, just send me his address. No, I don't want them back.........
I've been on a couple of 47's, one from Cairns to Cooktown, (1984) and the other in PNG, (1970) you're right, just love 3's and 47's!
