this one turned into a tailsitter too so I knocked up a wooden ladder and cemented it to the fus side to prop it up...works okay

That's the kit I was thinking about, I like what-ifs that are SFTB.

BTW, If anybody has the choice of getting the original Dragon or Revell re-boxing of those Dragon Luft'46 kits choose the Revell kits...the Revell kits don't have the difficult to work with steel P.E. in them and have those same parts molded in plastic. Of course the Revell kits do not fit any better than the Dragon kits but they make for some great looking models when finished.

thank you one and all...of course we don't do modelling to win prizes and awares, but we all have an ego so it's nice to be called up to receive your certificate, shake the hand of the club pres and receive applause from you modelling peers

At one show I used to attend (now defunct since the driving force behind it was taken from us way too soon) first got a trophy while second and third got pennants.  We used to aspire to come fourth as then you got a model kit as encouragement.

I think that particular aircraft flew in Christmas 1944 - I can tell by the Christmas wrapping in the background
