Dude!! I'm in love with your plane!!!

Now what were the extra bits and how did you make em?

Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Hmmm...lemme think....

Starting at the front:

The LRMTS under the nose-made from the fairing in the kit that is meant to go a the base of the vertical stabilizer when the avionics hump isn't fitted.  A piece of sheet styrene and putty made it look nice.

The early IRST above the nose-the braking 'chute housing from the kit, meant to go under the tailpipe.  It is vertually unmodified xcept for a little sanding to fit the curve of the nose.

The other antenae on the nose are stock kit parts for other A-4 variants.

The cannon-front is the base of a 1/48 refueling probe from an F-100 with the front of a kit cannon barrel attached.  This was faired into half a 1/72 T-38 drop tank.

The vent/scoop thingie adjecent to the new cannon is straight from a Revell/Italeri F-32

The Scoop on the left rear fuselage is an unidentified bit from the spare-fidly-bits box.  From the color and plastic it looks like it came from a Monogram 1/48 A-10.

The RWR antenna on the vertical stabilizer is scratchbuilt from a piece of styrene stock and putty.

The refueling probe is the straight one from the kit, but I heated and bent it a bit for a better pilot view of the basket.

The Matra pods came from the Academy Hunter FGA.9

everything else is straight from the box.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

But where are the leafy roundels?
Sorry I thought I was Baz for a minute.
AWESOME
Extra dark Sea Grey  is like a black mini dress makes anything look sexy, but stick it on a beauty like a Scooter and you have an absolute stunner. I think I need a moment alone ;)

Question though not seen Sky undersurfaces on FAA jets before, is this a scheme I don't know about or pure WIF, I'm always loking for a bit of variation

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Not completely whiff-the RN used Sky in the 50s on Sea Hawks, Attackers, Wyverns, GANNETTS, etc...

The scheme was much more sky than my model with the demarcation line high on the fuselage and the tail in Sky too.

I like Sky more than white with EDSG and figured a whif-but-plausible way to do it was for a Silver Jubilee scheme.  I originally planned for the tail and avionics hump to be silver, but decided against this late in the build.

The link below has a pic of a faded Sea Hawk in the Sky/EDSG scheme.

NARSES2

In all honesty that is the best looking A4 I've ever seen

My build for Telford next year will probably be a retro-scheme for either one of the Jubille's or commemorations. Say a Lightning in PC10 & Doped Linen or in one of those "Comic Camel" schemes ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'm agreeing with what the man said......just beautiful, Aeroman !

That is absolutley right. One of those jobs that just jumps out at you and says 'real' ! With a bit of fudging about to add a backgrouns etc, that thing could pass for a real a/c..........

How you churn these masterpieces out so quick amazes me. Keep 'em coming !
