Ian the Kiwi Herder

Here the wee beastie is, all sanded and blended and and already wearing a coat of Dark Sea Grey. The Yellow 'trainer-bands' on the mid chord of the wings and around the fuselage, were sprayed and sealed with varnish at the beginning of last week. You can see - if you look carefully - where they have been masked.

Just about to report for a date with the Aztec and some RAF Dark Green.

Here it is.... all better now !

And how's about a quick family snapshot ?

That will be just about it till the middle of next month for these two - I won't (ever) rush a project. On Friday I'm back on watch for two days, then Sunday evening, the almost Mrs. Hunter-Gatherer and I start our latest adventure.... Off on our Honeymoon  :o

Y'all know we aren't a conventional couple, so we havin' the Honeymoon before the wedding. Off to the Galapagos Islands on a photography expedition, then home for a day and then off again; driving over to Germany to see the out-laws

I rather thought this was a spaghetti plane, nice!
The final result is more classical, less "what-if"... but nice anyway... :)

Thats Blu-Tac Ian has used - and a very simple and effective way of getting soft edges on your camo schemes it is too :)

Hope the Honeymoon goes well

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Looking great Ian,
And a happy honeymoon also

Ah ha! Another adherent of the blue-tac and makol method of masking. Brilliant method, but you need to put on a decent layer of maskol otherwise you get all sorts of nasty bleed through's. Also, I find that the blue-tac can be a right bugger to stick on the surface at times as well.

Superb looking JP you have there Ian. I hope you have a damm good honeymoon
