I heard him being interviewed once and they asked him what he thought about New Zealand issuing a coin with his picture (as Gandalf) on one.  "First time they'll have a coin with two queens on it!"  (he's Gay and Commonwealth coins usually have a picture of the Queen on side).  ;D ;D ;D
