This is the version supplied to the North Norwegian Fjord postal service and fish farm inspectorate, based at the Hardangerjøkul post office and herring farm .

THe original landing gear pods were converted to carry mail, with extra fuel stored in the float  twentyones  or float pontoons (as they were later called.)

THe French anti submarine gear was replaced by a locally produced and fitted sildsonar called a "Haddock sock" ( literal translation there being no English equivelant).

As always there will be more. :ar:

The Rat

If it floats and flies, it's the best in the skies!  ;)

Glad to see another 'wethead' here Dork, and a beauty model too.

Very nicely done. I've always liked how high-vis colors contrast with low vis dark gray colors.

You now have me pining for the fjords! ;)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

your wishes are as always .........MY COMMAND

For those of you who may care about these things ( and their are some) The floats are from the old Hasegawa "Marlin", the attatchment joints sanded to shape and super glued....a small strake was cemented alongside just for strength.

Here is a picture from the Norwegian newspaper ,the daily " Viking Horn" ,showing  the famous Scandinavian aviatrix Brunhilde Tripehammer ( High Lame and postmistress of Bronysund) landing after the inaugral flight.
