These models are by Tony Woollett, with Ted Taylor taking the photographs.

I had the pleasure of meeting (briefly) Tony in the early seventies when we both attended the Berkshire branch of IPMS in Reading. He made all his planes to 1/36 scale, and they were all scratchbuilt, starting with sheets of plastic card. He tried to explain how easy it was once so I thought I'd have a go. Several sheets of plastic later I gave up but appreciated his ability all the more.

Also, no airbrush, no decals - everthing was hand painted.

Truly the master modeller.
