A friend of mine served in this '96-'99 as a door gunner on Lynx. He has described the Lynx as having skids. I have tried googling pics of this sqn for that period but have only found modern pics. He had none so i have no starting point. Can anyone suggest a decent base model for a RM used one....? He didn't mention TOW missiles but the pics i found show them mounted. I'd love to do a quick build fof him as he has been kind to Max. Any suggestions for a kit in 1/72  would be ideal but 1/48 an option. Many thanks...H

It's from 1997, an AH.7 based at RNAS Yeovilton.

There's an 1:48 kit from Airfix (A09101) from which you can build an 847 NAS machine OOB.

Airfix and Fujimi both did Army Lynx AH-1s in 72nd, avoid the matercraft/plastyk ones as whilst they do the AH-7 in 72nd its pretty nasty.

The Airfix 48th version is your best bet for a very decent option on the version you want.
