Revival of the Tanked Group Builds

I suggest a new Group Build for those of us who are chronologically challenged: "Revival Of The Tanked Group Builds" in which us slow guys can post the continuing sagas of our many attempted GB's that overshot deadlines...

Our twisted procrastinator's motto:

"We may not win any prizes since we blew the GB deadline but, on the other hand, we may not win any prizes, either"

Hey, progress is progress, even if a deadline gets exceeded.  We can put a deadline on this new collection of seconded Group Builds....say, September 20, 2012 or so?

In honor of missed deadlines and impossible goals that never come to fruition, I will donate a Trumpeter 1:72 C-5A Galaxy as a prize, provided Trumpeter has made such a kit by that date and provided we all actually complete our overdue models by then as well.

Count me in, Baz! 2012 or better yet, 2112 sounds like an entirely reasonable timeframe for me to complete my Williams Bros. @#$%&!!! Boeing 247 project. To finish on time for the Dead Parrot GB will probably cost me my sanity. There's 15 passenger seats, each one comprising three pieces heavy with flash.

Oh and there's no locator pins on the wings or fuse either. Fortunately the windscreen comes in two pieces, split right down the center.

Once I opened the kit and examined it closely, I poured myself a large drink and started sobbing quietly. I can't even think of starting it without developing a case of the shakes.

And I acutally have TWO of these @#$%&!!! kits in my stash.  :dum:

I took this shot last night, since then it's had the undercarriage and wheel wells sprayed glossy white. Y'all can see that I've removed the 20mm cannons from the nose and filled the troughs. Other than this the model will be straight from the box. Dunno when I'll get the first camo colour on

Well I'll toss a Rotodyne in the mix.
Can we do real world stuff too, cos you Bastards have been distracting me from my Skyraider, Hellcat, Dragonfly and Barracuda for nearly two years.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Real world stuff? What's that?

I haven't built anything straight since the 1/144 Hobbycraft B-36B in Sept. '02.
