QuoteWIF world - Crazy longevity like that could mean the Sopwith Camel might have still been around even now, with suitable upgrades, of course.

What if bean counters ALWAYS had their way? Here i present a late 1990s/early 00s Sopwith(BAE) Camel made out of Airfix's 1/72 glob of plastic.

So far I've

Scratched an 8 bladed propfan with coaxial spinners. Exhaust holes drilled out the bottom

Enlarged the cockpit and shoehorned a spare ejector seat.

Added small vertical fins to the horizontal stabs.

Gunpod out of a 1/48 pylon thingie.

FLIR ahead of the cockpit out of cut sprue.

Still to do:

Possibly new landing gear.

Underwing Pylons with missiles.

Find a suitable canopy.

Get my camera fixed so I don't have to scan my airplanes

Paint the rest of the plane, low-vis grimey pink!

Goober that's a fantastic concept! I've always liked the idea of "modernized" biplanes! I'm going to love watching this one come together!
