Get you down to the hobby shop and get a polishing kit that the car modelers use.  They have sstuff in the 12000 grit range.  This is good for removing scratches.  A plastic supply store should have something to polish plex.

Also you might try good old fashion tooth paste, the regular kind not the gel stuff.

QuoteDefinately klear, it does wonders for canopies (as well as a great gloss varnish AND decal finisher)

I tried this on a canopy the got fogged by thinner and it did'nt do a thing. I ended up having to buy a complete kit for just the canopy. What did I do wrong??

How do you use this stuff, especially as a decal finisher???

Brasso work's as well, you can then dip your canopy in future/klear and wick off the excess with the edge of a tissue.

i said it does wonders, not perform miracles, hehe  :)

It is very good at removing scratches and light damage.  Eg, the big seams you get on hasegawa Tomcat and eagle canopies, slice the seam off with a sharp blade, and klear the resulting mark, hey presto, no seam.  It is also good to coat the canopy in klear, BEFORE you go near glue - the klear prevents the fogging, not sure if it would protect from thinner tho.

As for decal finisher, simple.  Apply decal onto gloss finish, brush on klear, leave 15 minutes, decal settles down brilliantly.

Since returning to modelling, 2 things have benefited me more than any other
1)  Halfords primer/paint (especially Appliance white)
2)  Klear
